Our dedicated team traces its origins to the visionary collaboration of two close-knit couples, bound by a deep camaraderie and a shared determination to create a lasting impact on the lives of the underprivileged. Inspired by Travel, Driven by Purpose
My personal journey with this project began with a strong conviction inspired by our neighbors who set out to create an impactful organization after their transformative travels. What started as a small act of kindness towards a Nepalese guide has evolved into a robust organization dedicated to empowering Lapu communities in need. Although we didn’t join them on their travels initially, their experiences and the initial connection sparked a shared determination that drove us to collaborate and elevate this initiative into a fully functional association. Instead of relying solely on donations, I championed the idea of empowering local artisans by selling their pashminas. Fueled by an unwavering confidence in our mission to create positive change, we have emerged as a driving force for progress, addressing critical needs in the region. My visit to the region in 2015, following the tragic earthquake, solidified our commitment to making a difference.
Empowering Communities, One Project at a Time
Since our inception in 2012, we have proudly sold over 15,000 scarves in than 12 years—each one a testament to our dedication to sustainable aid and the hard work of our incredible team, supporters, and partners. These achievements highlight the power of collective effort in making a tangible difference.
Our projects include constructing a water distribution system in Lapu village, building two dispensaries, a school, and installing hundreds of toilets. We believe in innovation and sustainability, which is why our latest initiative focuses on providing tourists with access to clean water without the need for single-use plastic bottles.
Swift Response in Times of Crisis
When disaster struck in 2015, our commitment to helping those in need was put to the ultimate test. Thanks to our strong local connections, we were among the first to reach the affected areas. We personally witnessed the devastation—the collapsed homes, the overwhelmed communities, and the innocent smiles of children amid the chaos. It was a profound life lesson, one that deepened our resolve to make a difference.
With the unwavering support of our buyers, we were able to provide immediate relief and long-term assistance to hundreds of households. Our response was swift, but our dedication to those we serve remains enduring. This experience reinforced our belief that in the face of adversity, compassionate action can bring hope and rebuild lives.
