Elle \u00e9tait l\u00e0, \u00e0 chercher mon \u00ab\u00a0accord\u00a0\u00bb pour se disqualifier. Et moi, je regardais le profil d&rsquo;une leader d\u00e9brouillarde qui mit un bon moment \u00e0 se reconna\u00eetre et \u00e0 s&rsquo;accepter dans son propre reflet !<\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Ce truc qui gratte, cette tendance \u00e0 focaliser sur ce qui manque s&rsquo;appelle \u00ab\u00a0le syndrome de la bonne \u00e9l\u00e8ve\u00a0\u00bb. Et si tu lis cet article, il y a de fortes chances que tu le connaisses de l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<!-- SECTION 2 -->\r\n<h2>\u00a0Comment l&rsquo;\u00e9cole t&rsquo;a programm\u00e9e<\/h2>\r\n<p>Les travaux de <strong>Jacques-Antoine Gauthier et Lavinia Gianettoni \u00e0 l&rsquo;Universit\u00e9 de Lausanne<\/strong> le montrent sans ambigu\u00eft\u00e9 : d\u00e8s l&rsquo;enfance, les filles et les gar\u00e7ons ne re\u00e7oivent pas les m\u00eames injonctions. Les filles apprennent \u00e0 bien faire, \u00e0 \u00e9viter les erreurs, \u00e0 satisfaire l&rsquo;\u00e9valuateur. Les gar\u00e7ons apprennent \u00e0 tenter, \u00e0 occuper l&rsquo;espace, \u00e0 revendiquer. C&rsquo;est ce que les chercheurs nomment la <strong>socialisation diff\u00e9renci\u00e9e<\/strong> \u2014 et elle ne s&rsquo;arr\u00eate pas \u00e0 la sortie du lyc\u00e9e.<\/p>\r\n<p>Le probl\u00e8me, c&rsquo;est que le monde professionnel r\u00e9compense d&rsquo;abord les comportements masculins : la prise de position, la prise de risque, la prise de pouvoir. Alors, tu arrives dans les organisations avec un logiciel performant pour un jeu dont les r\u00e8gles ont chang\u00e9.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Le syndrome de la bonne \u00e9l\u00e8ve, c&rsquo;est la qu\u00eate permanente de validation externe par l&rsquo;excellence op\u00e9rationnelle. Un mode survie d\u00e9guis\u00e9 en ambition.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<!-- SECTION 3 -->\r\n<h2>Le diagnostic : ce que ce syndrome fait vraiment \u00e0 ton leadership<\/h2>\r\n<p>Ce n&rsquo;est pas un probl\u00e8me de confiance en soi. Mais int\u00e9rieurement, tu continues \u00e0 te comporter comme si tu devais encore m\u00e9riter ta place. Tu sous-utilises ton pouvoir, \u00e9vites le feedback difficile, d\u00e9l\u00e8gues les d\u00e9cisions pour ne pas \u00ab\u00a0abuser\u00a0\u00bb de ta position.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote\">\r\n<p>Ce n&rsquo;est pas de la modestie. C&rsquo;est ce que J.Diamond appelle <em>la sous utilisation<\/em> du pouvoir qui est aussi pr\u00e9judiciable \u00e0 ton organisation que son abus. Ton inhibition n&rsquo;est pas neutre. Elle a un impact syst\u00e9mique.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<!-- SECTION 4 -->\r\n<h2>La rupture maximizing, satisficing quand la perfection est le vrai probl\u00e8me\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Il y a une croyance tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandue, souvent non formul\u00e9e mais profond\u00e9ment ancr\u00e9e : <em>ne pas viser l&rsquo;optimum, c&rsquo;est ne pas \u00eatre professionnelle.<\/em> <\/span>Livrer quelque chose de \u00ab\u00a0suffisamment bon\u00a0\u00bb ressemble \u00e0 de la paresse, au manque de rigueur, presque \u00e0 une trahison de ses propres valeurs. Alors on recommence, on affine, on relit une derni\u00e8re fois.<\/p>\r\n<p>C&rsquo;est exactement ce qu&rsquo;<strong>Herbert Simon<\/strong>, prix Nobel d&rsquo;\u00e9conomie, a remis en question d\u00e8s 1955,\u00a0 avec sa th\u00e9orie de la\u00a0<strong>rationalit\u00e9 limit\u00e9e<\/strong>.\u00a0Il distingue deux modes de d\u00e9cision : le <strong>maximizing<\/strong> qui consiste \u00e0 chercher la solution parfaite, celle qui coche toutes les cases \u2014 et le <strong>satisficing<\/strong> qui identifier la solution suffisamment bonne pour avancer et cr\u00e9er de l&rsquo;impact. Et son constat est radical : <em><span style=\"color: #800080;\">le maximizing n&rsquo;est pas de la rigueur. C&rsquo;est une illusion.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote\">\r\n<p>La maximiseuse ne cherche pas la meilleure solution. Elle cherche la solution qui la rassure le plus sur sa propre valeur.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>Ce que le perfectionnisme dissimule, Bren\u00e9 Brown l&rsquo;a document\u00e9 avec pr\u00e9cision : il n&rsquo;est pas un moteur d&rsquo;excellence, mais un bouclier contre la honte. Tant qu&rsquo;on est parfaite, personne ne peut critiquer. Mais ce bouclier mobilise une \u00e9nergie colossale pour g\u00e9rer l&rsquo;anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 \u2014 pas pour cr\u00e9er de la valeur. Lib\u00e9rer de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie pour l&rsquo;impact.<\/td>\r\n<\/tr>\r\n<\/tbody>\r\n<\/table>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote\">\r\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">Le maximizing chronique te rend pr\u00e9cieuse dans l&rsquo;ex\u00e9cution mais invisible dans la d\u00e9cision.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<p>Passer au satisficing strat\u00e9gique, ce n&rsquo;est pas baisser ses standards. C&rsquo;est faire un choix de leadership : d\u00e9cider consciemment o\u00f9 investir ton excellence. Et cette question \u2014 <em>qu&rsquo;est-ce qui compte vraiment ici ?<\/em> \u2014 la bonne \u00e9l\u00e8ve l&rsquo;\u00e9vite soigneusement. Parce qu&rsquo;y r\u00e9pondre, c&rsquo;est prendre position. C&rsquo;est d\u00e9cider. C&rsquo;est exercer du pouvoir.<\/p>\r\n<!-- SECTION 5 -->\r\n<h2>Reprendre le pouvoir : ce que \u00e7a signifie concr\u00e8tement<\/h2>\r\n<p><em><strong>Julie Diamond<\/strong> <\/em>distingue deux grandes familles de pouvoir. Les <strong>pouvoirs contextuels<\/strong> : ce que le syst\u00e8me \/ ton entreprise te donne : ton rang, ta position formelle, tes ressources, ton acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&rsquo;information. Et les <strong>pouvoirs intrins\u00e8ques<\/strong> : ce que tu portes : ton expertise, ton exp\u00e9rience, le pouvoir sur toi. La bonne \u00e9l\u00e8ve n&rsquo;utilise que les pouvoirs intrins\u00e8ques presque toujours de fa\u00e7on d\u00e9fensive. Elle prouve, elle justifie, elle d\u00e9montre.<\/p>\r\n<p>Reprendre le pouvoir, c&rsquo;est assumer les deux familles et notamment <strong><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><em>le Pouvoir du R\u00f4le<\/em><\/span>,<\/strong> ce pouvoir de rang que Diamond d\u00e9crit comme le plus sous-utilis\u00e9 par les femmes en leadership. Ce n&rsquo;est pas de l&rsquo;arrogance. Quand tu d\u00e9cides, tu donnes la permission \u00e0 tes \u00e9quipes de d\u00e9cider. Avec un acte.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<!-- CONCLUSION -->\r\n<h2>L&rsquo;excellence est un point de d\u00e9part, pas une destination<\/h2>\r\n<p>Le Dala\u00ef-Lama l&rsquo;a formul\u00e9 avec une clart\u00e9 d\u00e9sarmante : les femmes occidentales \u00e9duqu\u00e9es ont une responsabilit\u00e9 historique dans la direction du monde. Ce n&rsquo;est pas un compliment. C&rsquo;est une injonction.<\/p>\r\n<p>Tu as tout ce qu&rsquo;il faut. Tu l&rsquo;as toujours eu. Le syndrome de la bonne \u00e9l\u00e8ve n&rsquo;est pas une faiblesse de caract\u00e8re \u2014 c&rsquo;est l&rsquo;h\u00e9ritage logique d&rsquo;un syst\u00e8me de socialisation qui a fait son travail. Mais ce syst\u00e8me n&rsquo;est plus le tien si tu choisis de ne plus le servir. Le leadership au f\u00e9minin ne consiste ni \u00e0 imiter le leadership masculin ni \u00e0 te faire toute petite pour qu&rsquo;on t&rsquo;appr\u00e9cie. Il consiste \u00e0 mobiliser la pleine puissance de ce que tu es \u2014 avec le rang, avec l&rsquo;expertise, avec l&rsquo;influence \u2014 pour cr\u00e9er quelque chose qui compte.<\/p>\r\n<blockquote class=\"da-quote da-quote--conclusion\">\r\n<p>Arr\u00eate d&rsquo;attendre d&rsquo;\u00eatre choisie.
